He always provides

We have experienced some incredible evidences of God's provision through our married life -- the free furniture, the interest-free car loan from a dear friend, the raise that comes just in time to cover medical bills -- and I'm always amazed at how amazed I am. It seems like at first I miss it and then end up doing a "duh" when my eyes are opened to see His hand. But other times, like this one, it's obvious from the get-go.

We really hadn't planned on adopting again so soon, but everything was falling into place to adopt Ning. The timing, being at the right meeting at the right time, already knowing some great doctors -- everything lined up -- all we had to do was say yes. We knew that if God was making our path to Ning so clear, money would not be the reason we said "no." So we said "yes!" And little by little, God is sending us what we need: A lovely lady at church handing me an envelope with her garage sale proceeds inside, the crib and changing table some friends gave us, the way our church family worked their tails off helping us with a rummage sale, the checks that a few people have quietly slipped to us. So when we find out that our fees will be higher than expected, or that travel will be almost twice as much as we anticipated, it doesn't matter. Because every time I turn around I can hear Him reminding me that He's got it covered.
