He's offically ours and he's still doing really well!

Last night, we went and ate at a noodle place and then played some more. He was talking a blue streak and was even singing some songs. I'd give anything to know what he's saying. I can make out "xie xie" and "bu" (which he says alot!), but other than that, I'm at a loss. At bedtime, he wanted nothing to do with the crib in the room so Dave held him for a few minutes and then laid him down between us. He slept really well and didn't wake at all during the night. Every once in a while I would wake and think "what is that noise?" and then I'd realize it was him sucking his middle fingers.
This morning we had to wake him early to be picked up at 7:40 for the adoption appointment. He was not happy about that at all. But during breakfast he perked up and ate well. We went with all the other families to finalize the adoption and it seems like it took a long time. We took the ball with us and he ended up being a little showoff throwing it around and laughing. He's a busy little guy! (Thanks, Kathy and Grace, for the Curious George shirt. That's what he wore today for adoption day because it fits very well what we've seen of his personality so far.) He played with the woman who brought him yesterday (we learned that she's not a nanny, but the person in charge of international adoptions from his orphanage), but he wouldn't go to her. He's definitely perferring Dave today and doesn't want me to hold him much, but he's still making good eye contact and letting me feed him. He also makes sure that we're all together. If I get very far from him and Dave, he calls out "mama!"
Right now he's napping and we're going to get out and explore the area more this afternoon. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes -- we can feel the love all the way over here.

I think he looks like Dave. ;) I'm so happy for you guys!! Sounds like he is a good little chameleon & blending in quickly. I thank God for preparing his heart & mind to accept you both & love you as much as you love him.
He's so yummy!! Loves, Jenn
So cute! He's sucks on the same fingers as Abby. Abby also would have nothing to do with the cribs in China (she would practically cry at the sight of them) but slept great in our bed. She transitioned fine once we were home though. He's very precious and how neat that he's talking and singing and calling you mama!
Enoy the rest of your time in China.

WooHoo!! What a sweetie! I'm so glad you are able to post while you are there. It's so wonderful being able to share in your experience even from so far away. Can't wait until you get home!

You all look so happy. It looks like a perfect fit...you guys needed a boy. Now it looks like you might need a bigger bed too. The kids will be in your bed at home and you two will be in the bunk beds. Ha! Can't wait to meet Ning.

Congratulations Stults family! You're officially FIVE! I'm so happy to see smiles from your sweet guy. God has certainly prepared him for you. And how cute that he wore the Curious George shirt - I knew it fit his personality the second I saw it.
Continued prayers and blessings to you all. Can't wait til you're home.
