There are a bajillion organizations out there doing Kingdom work by supporting, loving, and advocating for orphans. You could send money to a different group each day and still not cover them all.
If you are not in a place to adopt right now but are wondering what you can do to change the life of a child, please consider the work done by Love Without Boundaries. What started out as a small group of adoptive parents raising money for one child to have surgery has grown into a dedicated group that provides foster care, assistance to orphanages, education, and all kinds of medical support for orphans in China.
I think one of this group's best efforts has been to help Chinese families who are living in poverty get medical care for their children, children that may have ended up in an orphanage because the families couldn't afford the right medical care. Keeping families together and making sure every child has a home -- that is good work.
